Spice Girls’ super hit soundtrack ‘Wannabe’ is a gift that keeps giving.
3 days ago, The Global Goals organization remade the video of this soundtrack with a bevy of international stars as part of their international campaign to push for female equality. Since then, this video remake has gone viral on social media, gaining close to a million views (and counting) on YouTube alone. In case you haven’t seen this video as yet, check it out below!
Featuring Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez, Nigerian Singer-songwriter Seyi Shay, South African Hip Hop artist Gigi Lamayne, South African singer Moneoa, Girl band M.O, Canadian viral sensation Taylor Hatala and Actress/Dancer Larsen Thompson, this video campaign has been hailed by former Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham and Mel B for its brilliant execution and purpose.
The goal of this project is to create enough noise to get the message of female equality across world leaders at the United Nations meeting in September this year.
Be a Part of this Revolution
Using the #WhatIReallyReallyWant hashtag, share your picture on social media with a placard saying what YOU really, really want for girls and women.
In 2015, as part of Sustainable Development Goals, world leaders promised to put girls and women first. We need to ensure that the decision makers take the necessary steps in order for us and our future generations to live in a world where gender equality exists as a concrete reality, and not just a bookish concept.
Remember, every voice counts.
