A self-confessed Lion King fan, when Julia Maria Werner, a German photographer, found a scruffy little homeless puppy scrounging for food in a garage in Spain, she felt she had found her little Simba.
Totally enamored by the cute little thing, she ended up bringing him back home to Germany and lovingly named him, Tschikko Leopold von Werner.
Tschikko’s lion-like features were absolutely apparent to Julia so much so that she ended up making him a matching mane with some leftover fabric.
And then came the magic in the form of this brilliant photo series titled the ‘Big City Lion’. Check it out below! 🙂

Started off as a just-for-fun project, this photo series made Tschikko an overnight internet star.

The similarities between Tschikko and Simba seem uncanny now, isn’t it? In fact, Julia asserts that little kids even ask her if he is a real lion.

For Julia, this photo series is also an opportunity for her to showcase what a brave little dog Tschikko is, and how far he has come from his humble beginnings.

Moreover, Julia claims that the pictures are both a game and teamwork between her and Tschikko.

Doesn’t this story reinforce the truism that the universe is full of possibilities? And all you need is only the right kind of vision to see them. If you loved Tschikko’s makeover story, don’t forget to share it with others as well 🙂
